August 2020 Prayer Calendar

1.       

  1. Father we ask on this first day of a new month, for hope. We pray you encourage our hearts and help us to hope in You.
  2. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
  3. God, I thank you that you are truth, and life. We pray for an outpouring of your life in us and in our world.
  4. For our servicemen and women, here in the US and abroad, we pray protection. God, we ask that you bring peace to their lives and households.
  5. Comforter, we pray for those who have lost dear ones in times of trial and conflict. We pray that there would be healing to their hearts.
  6. Today we lift up Pastor Bart and his family. May they find wisdom in seasons of change. And provision for all that is needed.
  7. Strength for each day. Today we pray for Pastor Trevor and his family. That you God, bring strength to reach out to others and peace to know when to let things go and leave them on your altar.
  8. Father, today we pray for School teachers. We ask that they are able to discern between the worldview and truth. We pray that you use them as positive role models for our children. And use our children to speak the truth to teachers.
  9. I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, brimming with knowledge, and able to instruct one another. (Romans 15:14)
  10. Jesus you are wisdom and our source of all truth. I pray that your living word would speak to me today. That it would come alive to my mind and spirit. And that I would hear your words speak to me.
  11. Thank you for our leaders who serve in our church. Today we pray peace for Pastor Teresa. I ask that you give her Your peace. That your love for her and her family would strengthen her heart and bring peace.
  12. Healer, God my healer Jehovah-Rapha. We call upon you to touch those needing healing, in our families and in our church family. May we see the blood of Jesus do miracles.
  13. Thank you, God, for your sacrifice on the cross. Thank you that you became a man although God. Thank you that you knew what it was to struggle as a man. Help me with my struggle today. Help me to rest in your arms.
  14. Remembrance, today we remember how You saved us, and we choose again to say we belong to You. For You alone are God. There is no other, only You can save.   
  15. Encouragement. Father of encouragement we pray for Pastor Patty, today we ask that she would know how much you love her. We pray for her family to be in strength and health.
  16. The whole assembly fell silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul describing the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. (Acts 15:12)
  17.  Lord of Justice. Please bring the alignment of right and wrong back to our lives and homes. Bring the standard of your Word back into the fabric of our daily lives.
  18. Father we have faith that you will see us thru another day. We know that our hearts and lives are better when we trust in You. May we have faith that you are with us and that You are leading us in every moment of time.
  19. For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. (Ephesians 1:15-16) God we pray thanksgiving for those mentors and friends You have placed in our lives. And we thank you for those we can serve also. We thank you for those who have faith in You.
  20. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him. (Ephesians 1:17) Today we pray for revelation, as we seek Your wisdom, help us to know the path you have called us to. We serve you our Lord and King.
  21. Today is the first day of Elul. The last month of the Hebrew calendar. – A time for connecting the old with the new. A time of repentance in preparation for the new year (Rosh Hashanah begins – Friday Sept 18, 2020)
  22. We pray for those in the sciences and healthcare. As there has been so much in their world that has changed. I pray that they would know the truth of Jesus as savior and that compassion would overrule protocol and politics.
  23.  …As we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13). I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18) As these scriptures encourage us, let us await your blessed hope and look for your glory.
  24. Father our hope and our revelation, bring peace to our cities and our country. We pray for communication to happen.
  25. We cast down the stronghold of preconception. We speak against the pre-set minds. We ask that Your standard be the measuring mark of everything, and that we let go of our own way of looking at anything and measure it by your word.
  26. I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength, (Ephesians 1:18-19) God we meditate on this scripture. May we see your truth and know your greatness.
  27. May our hearts be enlightened, as we hope in you God show us how to reach the lost. What are You calling me to do today?
  28. We pray for a generation, today we pray for the millennial generation. A generation of those filled with compassion. We pray that their minds are not clouded with the worldview but that they would see the truth of Jesus.
  29. Father we pray today for police officers and fireman. We ask that you encourage them and show them the truth of Jesus. We pray that neither they nor their families would be threatened. And we are thankful for order and safety.
  30. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
  31. Hope, may hope be instilled in us. May we be changed by Your word and not despair in whatever the circumstances look like. But may we walk in hope, knowing You are our everything and You are our hope.
