identity kids

Identity is a group for fifth and sixth graders where they learn about who they are in Christ. We discuss God’s truths, who God says we are, His children, co-heirs with Christ, His workmanship, free, the body of Christ, etc. We are also soldiers in God’s army and in this class we learn about the armor of God. Another huge part of our identity in Christ knowing what it means to be Christ like. When we follow Christ we must have the Fruits of the Spirit, integrity, and know how to be set apart, in the world but not of it. The final part of this class is the Holy Spirit. We will learn about the trinity, discernment, Pentecost, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the gifts of the Spirit. This class is important to help prepare students to join the youth group in the seventh grade.

about our leaders

Identity is taught by Jared and Katie Meyer, who grew up attending Journey Church. They believe that it is important to help students discover who they are in Christ and have a strong foundation in the Lord at a young age.
