Journey Church teams up with local organizations in outreach and relief efforts. It is one way that we attempt to honor Jesus' words in the book of Matthew:
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
The Rockford Rescue Mission
The Rockford Rescue Mission has been serving our community for over sixty years. The Mission offers Gospel-centered care to individuals and families. That care comes in many forms, from meals and housing to Life-Skill classes and spiritual mentoring. They are highly effective in terms of outreach and witness. There are always opportunities at the mission to serve the community.
The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford
The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford brings help and hope to those facing an unplanned pregnancy. They support their clients through testing, providing resources and connecting them with support and care. This organization provides their confidential care free of charge.
Safe families for children Greater rockford
Safe Families for Children helps build support systems around families experiencing isolation, homelessness, medical emergencies, unemployment, domestic violence, mental health crisis, substance abuse treatment and other difficulties. They facilitate churches and individual volunteers to effectively help area families in crisis.
